wedding day

It was the happiest day ever, the best day ever, and everything I had ever dreamed. I am so grateful for my Mike and our families and friends who made it perfect!  Most of all, I am grateful for a loving Father in Heaven who took us to the right places at the right times so this could all fall into place. <3

a video from the happiest of days.

This is not the completed video- but it is the video we showed at our reception on the wedding day.

Yes, some of the video is same day edits that Parker only had a few hours to put together and he did an amazing job!  It was an honor to work with such a talented videographer!

best day ever.

Mike and I continuously say, it was perfect. And it really was.  Everyone says that the wedding day always has something go wrong... and I honestly don't think we ran into any problems.  The day was flawless, beautiful, and everything I had dreamed and worked for!  Biggest thanks to my amazing rock star mother.  She captured my vision and really ran with it.  I couldn't have done any of it without her. (I realize more and more everyday how truly amazing she is and how much she gives to everyone, especially me!)  I am kind of sad our hours of planning, creating, and choosing are over.  It was so fun to have one on one creative time with her during the planning.

Our morning spent in the temple was sacred and perfect.  All of it. I hope to never forget the things I felt, heard, and learned that day.  I am so grateful for forever families, the priesthood, and the sealing power.  Elder Holland once said, I cannot imagine heaven without my wife.  I honestly cannot imagine heaven without my Mike, and I am so glad we get to have that eternity thing. :)

That evening we spent at the beautiful Highland Gardens green houses. It was such a beautiful venue for our vision.  I have always had a love for flowers so naturally I wanted lots of them in the wedding- once again my super mom came through.  She did every flower arrangement herself. You'll see how truly talented she is! It was so great to spend the night with family and friends that are dear to us.  The night was full of warm hugs and the room was filled with laughter.  It was honestly a dream come true.

Our videographer and photographer were absolutely amazing- we are excitedly awaiting the finsihed products, so for now you get a couple of phone pics!

this was one of my favorite places at the reception... do you see that mantel arrangement?  seriously my mother, people, she is outstanding. I got teary eyed when I saw that for the first time, it was just so perfect!

3 weeks away from the best day!

I can hardly believe this long 4 month engagement has only 3 short weeks left!  (Although I maintain that an engagement should not last longer than 10 weeks)  I am so excited to Marry Michael.  I love him with everything that I am and I am so grateful he is going to be my partner in crime and by my side for the rest of forever.

We went and got a marriage license on Wednesday and then he took me on a lunch date!  That was fun because I never see the man between the hours of 6 am and 7 pm on weekdays cause he works so hard and so long!  After our little lunch date we split ways to get all done up for our bridal session!

Originally, I didn't want to do bridals, I thought that wedding day pictures would be ample, boy was I wrong!  (thanks to Parker for changing my mind!)  Not only was it so fun to do a reveal and frolic in the beautiful mountains and fields in draper, but there was just a special unifying feeling that I felt with our little party of our mom's, my sister (and maid of honor), and our film team- Mikki Platt photographer and Parker Gurney (plus his sweet wifey) videographer.  It was a dreamy night!  I will post the real pictures and videos from the masters- but for now I only have the ones our moms and my sister snapped on their iphones hence the poor quality. :)

July 10 is going to be my favorite day, I am sure.
