because you just never know

Its the first week of school and let me just say- although I am busy and I will have tests and projects that will be stressful, I LOVE SCHOOL.  I love the environment, I love learning, I love that I am gaining knowledge.  Its just a good good thing.

I also LOVE LOVE LOVE being in school with my Mike.  We take our study break together in the library and study our little hearts out!  And this semester we are in the same health class and share the same class level and professor for Spanish!  So we can study together for those two courses (we know this will never happen again so we are soaking it up!)

The first day of school was crazy!  I missed three and a half classes for the beautiful wedding of my friends Caleb and Maria.  And Mikey had to miss one class that day.  So it was a little different getting books and organized for the semester, but we are getting along just fine.  Then our next first day (the following day with different classes) we had quite the adventure!  I worked from 9-4:30.  Mike came to pick me up from work and take me to school.  On the freeway headed to UVU our car overheated- BAD! so we turned on the heater full blast threw on the hazards and started lane changing from the carpool lane to the side of the freeway. Miraculously the car engine temperature dropped back down to the normal range while we did this and we were able to get to UVU in time for my class! (Mike only has one class so he was able to attend to our poor broken car)  That was miracle #1.  After Mike fixed up the car, he sat in the car rockin out to some tunes waiting for me to finish so we could head to our last class of the evening on the other campus.  That class is about a 5 minute drive that we only have 10 minutes to do! Well, the battery died from the radio being on! HAHA! honestly.

So we walked up to a lady in her truck knocked on the window and asked if she had 5 minutes and jumper cables. She was SO sweet!  She did and she was so happy to help us. She proceeded to tell me that she never sits in her car looking through emails after class and she never drives her husband's truck (which has the cables) so essentially this was a one-time miracle squared. Miracle #2

I wish so badly I could thank that sweet car lady appropriately. I don't know if I will ever see her again, but I am so grateful she was there (placed by the Spirit no doubt)  It just goes to show, even if it seems like a weird prompting- follow it!  Cause you just never know.

After our car jumping experience, we zipped over to the west campus and made it to class before it started!! miracle #3.  It was a crazy day- I can't lie and say I had great positive thoughts flowing through my head all day.  But we were definitely being looked after. And I am so grateful for a Heavenly Father who is interested in the details of our lives.

I had to learn a lesson yesterday- a lesson of patience and that He really does care about the little things.  I am so grateful for that!

Cheers to a great semester with my Mikey!

Also, family pictures are done for both of our families. and i love them!

Recent Happenings

We hit our One-Month anniversary!  It has been the happiest month of my life.  I love Mike so much and that love just continues to grow all the time!  We have definitely had some rough moments this past month- mending two backgrounds can be shockingly hard.  But I love my Mike!  I love how real we both are with one another and I am so grateful for the way we communicate with one another!! I am so glad he is all mine for forever! <3 Here are some more iphone pictures.. we shoud get the wedding day pictures within the month! yay!!

It seems like Mikey and I have been running nonstop since May. The wedding this summer and everything after has just been CRAZY (apart from our dreamy honeymoon- that was relaxing and delightful). Last weekend we decided to take a much needed break and relax and we did just that!

Friday night our plans got cancelled at the last minute so we just made burgers at home and watched a movie. It was SO nice not to have anywhere to be!! On Saturday we met up with all of Mikey's siblings and his cute mom at Cowabunga Bay for a fun day!  It was so fun to be there with his siblings and play with them!  I love how everything in a kid's perspective is so magical and exciting!  It made my day at Cowabunga so much better to be there with them!   We sure missed his dad that day.  Family time is much more appreciated these days since we live down in Orem!
After the water park we went home got all cleaned up and we went on a date to Citycreek where we shopped and finished the night at cheesecake factory.  [they have gluten free cheesecake that lights up my world] (Of course I didn't get a picture! oops!!)
We finished up our weekend with a family dinner at my parent's house with all of my siblings.  I sure do love the weekends I get with my hubby and our families!!

I have been editing this future missionary's mission pictures this week :'( time is sneaking up so fast!  He leaves in just a few too short weeks.  My heart hurts already!  He is my constant laughter relief and I am just so grateful to have him as a brother!  I know a mission was the greatest thing I did to prepare for my life and it will be for him too. I just hate to send him away!  Look out Canada youre getting the best of the best! I am sure a post will come about him and my brother in law and cousin that are all leaving in September! (I don't know what we are going to do without our three buddies!  I am going to miss them all so so much!)

this is seriously one of my favorite pictures from the wedding.  This capture is the most accurate picture I have with my two brothers that I adore even through the teasing ;)

lots of love,

a video from the happiest of days.

This is not the completed video- but it is the video we showed at our reception on the wedding day.

Yes, some of the video is same day edits that Parker only had a few hours to put together and he did an amazing job!  It was an honor to work with such a talented videographer!
