Do you know what your love language is? Do you know your spouse's love language(s)? Or those of your immediate family and closest friends? I suggest you learn them. There are lots of places to take the quiz but here is a link that is quick and easy.
My love languages are tied evenly between 3: quality time, acts of service, and physical touch.
This semester is crazy. I have just begun the elementary education program at UVU, and they are not messing around with their future teachers. I am taking a full credit schedule of 18 credit hours. Which breaks down to be 7 classes. I am also working about 30 hours a week. On top of that I am expected to complete 20 volunteer hours in elementary school before March. I am also apart of an event planning group at UVU. And we are cubscout leaders in our church. It has already been a little overwhelming.
The first week of school I was barely making it through the days. The best part of my day was going home to a big warm hug from my Mikey, who had already started dinner and cleaned up the house or ran a load of laundry. Seriously, the first week of school I didn't cook a single meal or clean any part of the house. He was so amazing to know what I needed and to follow through. He was so selfless and just so wonderful. I probably would have dropped out of the program that week if it hadn't been for him! Haha!
Now that its been a few weeks, I am getting into the swing of things. I know that I can do hard things. I know that I am working toward things that really mean a lot to me! I know that I only have a few semesters left and then my education will be done. I know that if the laundry waits til next week, we are going to survive. Its okay that we have grilled cheese and tomato soup from a can for dinner sometimes **at least once a week** haha!
Mike's love languages are Physical touch and then quality time. That boy needs to cuddle every single day. He is most happy if he gets a snuggle in the morning, evening and at night! I am so grateful for my sweet boy. I love him so so much!
lots of love,

unconditional love- oh how wonderful.
I have been thinking about unconditional love lately... its something I seek for. I want to love unconditionally. And that is hard for me for some reason.
My Mike and I have been married for a whopping 3 months. I love him unconditionally. Even when he leaves his dirty socks out, or says something he doesn't mean, or leaves me to do all the dishes after I cooked him dinner- I just love the man. And he loves me even when I complain, or say something that I don't mean, or get demanding about our home.
Mike is the oldest of 8 kids. Yes, its crazy. I love this big family that I now get to call mine! This week we were talking to his parents on the phone and the two youngest continued to ask if they could talk to Mike on the phone until his parents finally said yes. They both separately jumped on the phone and said "Hey Mike!! (very lovingly) Can I talk to Brooke?!" Not going to lie I had to boast about that one for a minute. Those sweet kiddos make me feel like a celebrity at times. Every Sunday we eat dinner with his parents and family or mine. We switch off every week. Well last night was his family's week. Again I was immediately showered with hugs and loves from each of his siblings and especially the little two. All night they begged to sit with me or cuddle with me.
As we drove back home last night I mentioned to Mike how grateful I am for his family's ability to unconditionally love. Its not just his youngest two siblings, it is every single member of his family. They are just pure and loving people. It has been and continues to be a great blessing and an example to me of what I want to be.
Our greatest example of unconditional love is the Savior. Every act and thought was unconditional love. And oh how wonderful it truly is to be a recipient of that unconditional love.
lots of love,

sweet little sister was so fun on the wedding day asking if she could hold my dress- I loved it!
Like I said- unconditional! Only my amazing father in law would take this moment to express his love. I love this family of mine!
Another person who loves unconditionally is my sweet mother. She is super woman. As I listened to LDS General Conference a few days back I was overwhelmed by Elder Holland's talk about the pure Christ-like love of a mother. Mother's carry, bear, listen, deliver, lift, etc. My mother does those things! I am so very grateful for that. When I was little she would take time out of her days to play store with me- it was my favorite. As I grew into a teenager she would sit on my bed and listen, console and talk with me. Further, as I served a mission she prayed with all of her might, she wrote, she wept, she missed, she sent packages, etc. Then as I came home she continued to bear the burdens of life with me. As I got engaged and married she spent hours and hours planning every detail to perfection, creating, cleaning, unpacking. Her love is perfectly unconditional. Our greatest example of unconditional love is the Savior. Every act and thought was unconditional love. And oh how wonderful it truly is to be a recipient of that unconditional love.

Recent Happenings
We hit our One-Month anniversary! It has been the happiest month of my life. I love Mike so much and that love just continues to grow all the time! We have definitely had some rough moments this past month- mending two backgrounds can be shockingly hard. But I love my Mike! I love how real we both are with one another and I am so grateful for the way we communicate with one another!! I am so glad he is all mine for forever! <3 Here are some more iphone pictures.. we shoud get the wedding day pictures within the month! yay!!
It seems like Mikey and I have been running nonstop since May. The wedding this summer and everything after has just been CRAZY (apart from our dreamy honeymoon- that was relaxing and delightful). Last weekend we decided to take a much needed break and relax and we did just that!
Friday night our plans got cancelled at the last minute so we just made burgers at home and watched a movie. It was SO nice not to have anywhere to be!! On Saturday we met up with all of Mikey's siblings and his cute mom at Cowabunga Bay for a fun day! It was so fun to be there with his siblings and play with them! I love how everything in a kid's perspective is so magical and exciting! It made my day at Cowabunga so much better to be there with them! We sure missed his dad that day. Family time is much more appreciated these days since we live down in Orem!
After the water park we went home got all cleaned up and we went on a date to Citycreek where we shopped and finished the night at cheesecake factory. [they have gluten free cheesecake that lights up my world] (Of course I didn't get a picture! oops!!)
We finished up our weekend with a family dinner at my parent's house with all of my siblings. I sure do love the weekends I get with my hubby and our families!!

I have been editing this future missionary's mission pictures this week :'( time is sneaking up so fast! He leaves in just a few too short weeks. My heart hurts already! He is my constant laughter relief and I am just so grateful to have him as a brother! I know a mission was the greatest thing I did to prepare for my life and it will be for him too. I just hate to send him away! Look out Canada youre getting the best of the best! I am sure a post will come about him and my brother in law and cousin that are all leaving in September! (I don't know what we are going to do without our three buddies! I am going to miss them all so so much!)
this is seriously one of my favorite pictures from the wedding. This capture is the most accurate picture I have with my two brothers that I adore even through the teasing ;)
lots of love,
