Family Pictures

I saw this white brick wall a few weeks back and I have been itching to go take pictures here for a while now! Early last week Rachel asked if I would take some family pictures of them before Brennan started dental school and before baby Jordan comes. I was happy to! And so excited to get some shots at this wall.

I have also been wanting to take pictures in this field.. This field is right outside of the neighborhood where I grew up, and the owners were very strict with trespassers. It is their farm. I understand.  It is soon to be developed.. so we had to go here too! It is seriously GORGEOUS! I was so worried all week about the weather during our pciures. I was checking the weather multiple times a day. Of course, it ended up raining and being SO windy. There were so many cute pictures ruined by crazy wind blown hair and clothes. Such a bummer. We will have to try again next summer. But we still got a few good shots! Thanks to Rach for snapping a few pictures of our little family too!

Flower Girl

My friend contacted me last week and offered us a flower crown she had made at work... It was an easy yes! We scrambled to feed and dress Lyla girl and get out of the door before the sun went down. Pictures are SO much prettier with natural light! Lyla is normally very fussy at night, but she really cooperated with our theatrics trying to get her to smile and pose. Taking pictures of a baby is hard! I love how these turned out. We ADORE our little Lyla.

Lyla's 1 month

Lyla Jayne is a month old!

At her last doctors appointment two weeks ago she was 21st percentile for weight 78th percentile for height and 23rd percentile for head circumference. She has chunked up quite a bit since then though!! She is going to be a chunky little girl. I am LOVING her developing thigh rolls.

Lyla loves cuddling, music, and bath time.

Lyla doesn't like diaper changes, being swaddled, or evenings.

She is just starting to intentionally smile at people, and it is so cute! She has the cutest dimple on her left cheek.

She seems to have a favorite person, and it is my mom. She will always stop crying for her, she gives her the most smiles, and she stares at her like no one else. Not even me. It is the sweetest thing. Just for the record, I think she is pretty great too, Lyla girl!

She is very loud, her noises remind me of an angry sheep when she is hungry, and a pterodactyl when she is pooping.

While I am nursing her she will put a foot on each side of my arm and sqeeze it like she is holding my arm with her feet. It is the funniest thing. When she was first born she would stick her feet up by my mouth while she nursed. Funny funny girl.

She also LOVES to be held. If it is day time, she wants to be held all of the time. I love how snuggly she is! I wish I could just hold her all day long.

She also goes from happy to hangry in half of a second! This last month with her in our home has been the sweetest blessing. We love her so so much!

So much love,
Brookeydee
