On February 1, 2025 we found out I was expecting another baby! To say it was shocking would be an understatement. I felt that our family was complete, and that I was maxed out as a homeschooling stay at home mother. We had just sold and given away all of our baby stuff in October. And probably TMI, but we were using 2 forms of prevention. On top of all of that, we have our history of infertility and difficulty to conceive. I was feeling off and my cycle was late and I just had this gut feeling that I was pregnant, despite it not making sense whatsoever! Sure enough 2 pink lines flashed at me 4 times as I took 2 tests the first day and another 2 tests in the following 3 days to confirm it was not a false or expired tests. I really could not believe it1 The next few weeks Mike and I kept the pregnancy to ourselves as we processed the miracle that had transpired and the big change coming for our family! One day I was praying and had such a tender spiritual experience. My mind flashed back to me in prayer, literally hundreds upon hundreds of times, pleading with God to bless us with a baby as we went through our fertility journeys. And then divine words came to me that said- I answer your prayers. Always. I still tear up as I type this because we have such a loving attentive Heavenly Father and miracles have not ceased!
My pregnancy has been unbelievably easy! I spent all 9 months with Lyla Lucy and Lottie so very sick throwing up for most of my days. They were some of my darkest hardest loneliest months of my life. This pregnancy I faced some nausea and food aversions and that wild pregnancy exhaustion in the first trimester and had 2 days of minimal throwing up, besides that, I have felt almost completely like myself!
I am now 22 weeks with this little miracle girl and we cannot wait to meet her and bring her home to her 3 big sisters! She has been so incredibly active! Mike and Lyla started to feel her tiny movements and kicks at just 19 weeks along! We love watching my belly move around while she bounces and dances around in there! During our anatomy scan, she kept her hands and feet near her face for almost the entire hour, making it really difficult to get good pictures of her profile, but also she used all 4 limbs to bounce around in there! Just cracking us up the whole time. No wonder we've been feeling her and seeing her move so early! It was so entertaining to watch.
Now we are tasked with deciding on another L name for a girl that we mutually love. And I have a lot of preparation to do as I hope to deliver this baby completely natural, for my first time, at a brith center. We are praying my pregnancy remains low risk and everything continues to be healthy so I can have that delivery opportunity.
Life is so beautifully complex, full of change and progression. I am so grateful for it all! And I am so grateful for my family who bring me the greatest of life's joys and for a Heavenly Father who is mindful of each of us!
